FGCU Professor Fired Over Sexual Harassment Allegations
A Florida Gulf Coast University adjunct professor, Carl Wood, has been fired by the university after a month long investigation accusing the professor of sexually harassing a female student. The student, a 28 year old, brought the allegation to the attention of the university after she and Wood went on a daylong trip to Naples. They were traveling to Naples because Wood was driving the student to an appointment with an attorney for a different legal matter. He then drove the student home after the appointment. The student leaned over to give Wood a hug and he began kissing the neck of the victim.
After the student tried to pull away and confront the professor about the situation he began to kiss the student with his tongue. After the investigation began Wood wrote an email to the Vice President of the school saying that the incident was “paternal affection to this admirable young lady.” For any individuals involved in a sexual harassment case, contact the law offices of Tobin and Reyes for expert legal counsel today.
